Sweet, but right now we're doing Delfino Plaza, maybe we can hit that one next.

@X580: A great background doesn't really affect Sonic's preformance...
I know but the background looks great but you got to admit Defino Plaza has alot of unique platforms.

The stage is very pretty...Platforms aren't too unique though, just the slip-through base.
lol, I guess Tenki somewhat proved that backgrounds could effect gameplay.

platforms arent that unique. It's just different height and placing. a platform is a platform
Platforms are great. Green greens has three main platforms. THREE!

ANd it even has two secondary platforms.

But what's truely amazing is that the blocks are also platforms, you can have so many different numbers of platforms at any given time in a match. Green Greens is just amazing over all.

Alright so Boxob has Green Greens covered I guess. He has his own thread for it so discuss that there.

DELFINO PLAZA NAOS! If anyone could get pics for me of each stage change that would be awesome. I could do it myself but it might take a few days.
Edit that post please, I'm going to make a legit Green Greens guide when I get home.

Not a synopsis, a fucking guide.

It will be amazing and everyone will pick Green greens.

You win sonicX DING DING DING. It also happens to be playable on brawl...
lol, alright guys settle down now. Delfino? I'd put in more input myself but I'd really like images to go along with it so people know EXACTLY which part I'm talking about.

This stage has it's uses, you may get a free Bair on someone trapped in the water. First rule is to not go in the water, characters like Ike and Ganon could just spike you repeatedly. This stage also can screw with your gimps since you'll be fighting near water. You can only do gimps on the main platform as long as you're not landing in the next area. There are some walk-offs too. I'll post more later.

lol, Sonic X was good on the first episode, then Chris showed up at the end. Ever since it failed.

Chris=Fail

I wish there was more conversation here, it would probably help if I wasn't so **** lazy to get those Delfino pics :/

please refrain from calling 580 "sonic X" it is offensive to the moderately good TV show of the same name
For the record KID I didn't pick this name for the fun of it I choose it because it kinda unique to me also think that when Chris came yeah the show did kinda fail but what about Space Colony episode? when Sonic and Shadow transformed? using those emeralds but just one question how come the series was kind of like Sonic Adventure 1 and 2?

They were running out of ideas, so they had to start stealing ideas from the previous games.

I'm going to LOL if they start coming up with Sonic Heroes.

Yeah tell me about it I just hope they don't imitate Sonic and The secret Rings or Sonic Unleashed because it's not good to imitate.

I have decided im now going to either stage strike or ban yoshis island. Whether its the fact that the platform screws up my b-airs to edgeguard ledgehoppers or some ******** curse against me I seem to play worse there than any other stage.

idk bout you guys but that stage hates my sonic like no other

Meh, you can have bad luck anytime, anywhere...it just happens to be on Yoshi's.

I can't see why you would hate the stage really (and sorry I didn't get it the first time...), the edges give perfect opportunity for instant SDRs, and the platforms are just as capable of saving you from death as they are youre opponent. I just recently found out that the platforms are timed, so if you know when they're going to come up, you know what to do from there. So what if you know that the platforms will save your opponent at first? If it catches them offgaurd (or not), you can still setup for a B/N/Fair if you know that it is coming up!

I love Yoshi's Island with Sonic, like no other. It's just amazing.
1. Instant SDR's
2. The walls!! Wall-jump is too good, it gives so much more depth to our off-the-edge game, also HA is seriously awesome with the wall too. You can't die if you're near the side of the stage. Practice your wall-jumps, make sure you can use them consistently and before and after up-B.
3. The tippy edges are great for Dtilt / Fsmash / side-taunt (if you're looking them right in the face as they're not-quite-high enough for their recovery... think DK.... LOL)
4. The platform is great when the opponent is above it, SH Uair games etc.
5. Low ceiling
6. You can stale your bad moves on the shy-guys

I hope you mean close side-blastzones. I find the ceiling about medium/medium-high on Yoshi's.
