What's the big deal about Brinstar Gf2tw? all you do is fight in limited space avoiding lava and you get into a capsule before you get hit by it.

You obviously never went to actually examine brinstar. The lava does not have to be avoided, it doesn't come up that much. When it comes up, you fight on either 1 platform, or 3. Also there's are the 2 side sticky things, and the center thing, your D-throw friend. This stage deserevs discussion

No not really but like I said before all you do is fight on limted space with lava it doesn't matter how much comes up there is still lava and limited space.

Lava is mostly below the killing zone, so that should pose no problem. Lava may not just hurt you, it can also help. Also it is very useful the bottom is counted as a platform. U-airs trough is great. And the space is not limited, it's bigger than battlefield.

Yeah but the lava rises almost all the way up and can kill if contacts.

If you are 120% it can indeed kill. But you're Sonic you have a spring for gods sake. When it comes up you spring to the upper platform and see the opponent burn. All in all, lava is worse for your opponent than it is for you. You have great vertical speed and it comes out quickly, opponent does NOT

Yeah but somebody can put you in the lava at high damage in a crtical point in the match and win which is not fair.

ROFL brawl is never fair. Final Destination isn't fair, we SC from a stage across. Battlefield is not fair, MK ***** too much. Give me a fair stage. Btw, that option could apply to you too.

Smashville is still the fairest stage.
As much as I'm starting to dislike it.

Does anyone else find Yoshi's Island (Brawl) like the worst Sonic level EVER?

No, Yoshi's Island is the worst ever. No character plays well on it. Brinstar is the most unfair level for characters other than Sonic :D

The only thing I agree with you is about MK
Smashville is still the fairest stage.

Any other counterpoints on Brinstar except the lava? I pointed out the lava will be more annoying to your opponent than to you, so if you can find level flaws to do not help sonic, fair enough.

Yeah on Brinstar has breakable terrain which messes up gameplay a little bit plus I noticed that the more terrain you break the more likely the lava will appear.

Definitly does not. When you break the terrain (which will only happen when you try to break it) it will put major pressure on your opponent if he's on the other side. You can approach trough air: Horizantal, above, or from beneath him. He will not like that, and go for a shield. And you just charge your Spin Dash to keep him holding that shield.

plus I noticed that the more terrain you break the more likely the lava will appear.
I have no idea if this is true, but it seems very unlikely.

Checked as in: Noted down how many times it would appear in 10 minutes, and then note it down again while breaking stages. If you do, post, if you don't INVALID.

Lol I wasn't actually serious. But I think Brinstar should be discussed, I posted most of my ammo for it. I'm gonna do some homework.

ROFL you only look at the game and the lava do you. Norfair has 3 different levels of all small platforms. Brinstar is Battlefield with lava, breakable terrain and a bit more horizontal length.

so back to teh topic at hand,

when you do side b and than hit the cstick you get a spinshot
but when you hit down b and hit the cstick up you get a jump that doesnt go as fast as a spimshot but goes higher and has a hitbox. for this post im going to call it instant spin dash jump ISDJ i think that the name for it

ISDJ on delphino is very good because on the parts where the picnic tables are when you go down into that divet where the water is, you can sit there in the corner and charge spin indefinitely adn when they come over to you you can instantly hit them with a SDJ to f air. it also works on the part where the giant star is in the arch. if you go over to the sides and do that its very good there too

Woah hold on. I've been hitting C Stick up when I Down B for ages now...I thought that was a Grounded spin jump? It's the one I've been explaining for ages and the answer has always been grounded spin jump (that is the name right)...

Holy hell I'm confused :urg:

And yea, to emphasise what Boxob said, don't choose this vs MK

I'm not too fond of the stage because it's always changing. The terrain isn't always flat which messes up my game :/

I hope you mean close side-blastzones. I find the ceiling about medium/medium-high on Yoshi's.
ERrrr, you might be right, I just assumed the ceiling should be low since the base platform is pretty high (tall walls), and all stages come in one of three sizes. But now that you mention it, the sides seem fiendishly close sometimes.

Does anyone else find Yoshi's Island (Brawl) like the worst Sonic level EVER?
Whyyyyy does everyone think this? Makes no sense to me...

Edit: welcome back, Boxob

Whyyyy does everyone like Brinstar with Sonic?? :/

Grounded SC > C-stick up = immediate SDJ, yeah. Or just tap Up with the control stick, but that might mean you move forward a l'il first.
