I've noticed in a lot of the peru matches, Isai will utilt on shield over and over again and his opponent won't be able to escape. I always have been able to escape this, particularly with falcon using grab or roll. Is utilt on shield actually inescapable?
It's a crazy frame trap. Technically you can get out, but you usually get hit anyways.

You can get a grab or w/e easily if the uptilt is stale.

Does parry double jump landing end faster than just parrying? If not, what would be the benefit of it?
Second, what are the frame windows of the button inputs (roughly) for the jumps in the DJL? I know that you can't hit jump twice within a certain amount of frames.

^^no one replied D:

but yes, pretty sharp there: standing parry>>> parry then immediate second jump land for all intents and purposes, but I only use a standing parry if I'm waiting to react to a something else/punishing something really slow. If not standing parry>jabs/standing parry>ftilt.

But why are we talking about standing parries anyways. Just practice parry jumps/upsmash/grab until your swag allows for otherwise. Then practice second jump lands on platform. Then ****.

Someone should really TAS both and find out the frame advantage (not that anyone is gonna make use of it :troll: )

After practising fast DJC Nairs different ways my thumb began to hurt. Can you guys give me advice which way i should practise this? Is there a "right" way to do? I'm always to fast when I'm trying to slide RIGHT-C to DOWN-C to A or LEFT-C to DOWN-C to A. I always stuck on the ground without an attack. Should I go pressing DOWN-C two times instead or is this just timing? How do you guys do this? I'd say everybody should make it it's on way but I have really trouble doing this consistantly. And it's painful too haha

And if that's still too difficult, the BEST way is to combine a stick jump and C-button jump.

Or maybe that's just best for Ness. I press the C-button twice for Yoshi, but I have decent mashing skills (thank you Starfox Adventures).

C-button twice is pretty easy with Yoshi. I'm the slowest masher alive (to the point I shouldn't even try to recover with Mario's downb) and it still works for me.

Well I practised a lot the last days and can do now much faster nair chains with sliding than pushing DOWN-C twice. Still got stuck sometimes but I improved a lot. I just got the timing now. The rising tornado is very easy for me. It's just mashing like theres no tomorrow. Still can't get high enough for the top platform on Dreamland. It looks like i missed maybe one hit to get that high. I'd also say practising button mashing till you can do this would be a good start http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0H1...DvjVQa1PpcFPBkEadKntWZQcNAgTizYBpaeVQQoSWA-0=

So I'm working on this yoshi combo that will most likely never get done, so I figured I'll post the idea here and let the pro's spice it up. On hyrule yoshi v falcon, starts with a djc fair into USMASH but hit it exactly so that it sends falcon straight up. That's really the cool part that I haven't seen done before. After that do what you want combo pro's. I was trying utilt -> s-hop nairing falcon to the right -> ftilt -> dash attack -> tent comboing

^^I did a Yoshi combo on Falcon with that exact beginning lol (but starting on a dreamland platform). I never uploaded it 'cause it ended in a grab than I couldn't confirm with a jab test or anything. I eventually moved on, but am probably a lot better now- and could do it easier and make sure it connects (It was like a year and a half ago so lol).

So Dibs!

I hate you >___> lol

You win only 'cause that was on Falcon, and on Hyrule.

But you only beat my by a few weeks with that Pika one, since I TECHNICALLY did mine like a week before this one pretty sure.

Also, pretty sure Isai has it with a Falcon on Dreamland one probably from like 100 years ago jajaja.

lol my mistake in thinking that I could come up with something original. Guess I'll keep trying. And sorry Pete I only started checking the video section a few months ago, I should probably go back and look at all of your videos, and ricky's... and Tanks.

ballin, your combos would be way more appreciated if you uploaded some new stuff every now and then

it definately doesn't go unappreciated by me, though

and clubba, keep thinking of ideas. there is always something that hasn't been done yet

and watch my vids too :smirk:

my laptop crashed and i couldn't find the install CD for my cap card.

although that was like a year ago lol so i probably could have solved that problem

i still have a piece of paper in my room with an unrecorded fox combo written down on it. not sure if it's worth recording though.

i'm not going to give examples of other peoples combos, but it happens with mine all the time. a lot of the combos i put lots of time and effort into go less noticed than relatively easier combos

I recently watched the Alex vs Estradon video again and wondered how Estradon is able to perform so many jump jump cancels at 3.15 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9704hCuOkxs

My maximum is maybe 5 or 6 in a row. Is there a trick to perform it consistantly?
Pressing one c-button in machinegun style seem not working very well.
